Hamlin Middle School is a ministry that meets our city where it’s needed most: our children and our future. Where we could not go before, now we are invited. Through a few volunteer hours every month, the school and our community have been impacted tremendously for Christ. Preparing the next generation is believed to be a reason that God placed us here. By raising children and helping the community, this ministry fulfills that calling.

Springfield Faith Center’s vision to impact our community through loving our neighbors founded the opportunity to adopt Hamlin Middle School. Over the years this partnership has developed into a place where church members take every opportunity to make a difference. Joining mentoring programs, or assisting in classrooms and on field trips, even tutoring and serving at the Hamlin Food Pantry is a few of the diverse needs of the schools, which every volunteer finds in order to contribute a difference. Even something as simple as attending weekly prayer groups with school staff shows commitment to the school.

There is an ongoing need for volunteers to assist with this middle school ministry. In addition, we’re looking for a handful of people to oversee the communication and logistics for our volunteers. This is a small time commitment but would have a tremendous impact for this partnership.

Since the needs change from month to month, contact the Church Office or the Director of Middle School Ministry Bill MacDonald ([email protected]) for more information.
